Join fellow Spaniel enthusiasts (and their dogs!) for a leisurely get together. Our Spaniel Social happens once monthly. For about an hour, our Spaniels can mingle and romp in the enclosed safety of a local fenced-in dog park. This is a great opportunity to bond with your canine companion while providing socialization skills - not to mention a chance to show off the apple of your eye!

Stop by the event table to sign up and pick out a free doggie bandana - the Social is free although donations are accepted. And spread the word - this afternoon is all about the Spaniels and those of us who love them ... not just for the rescued dogs in our lives.

The first 10 "yes" RSVPs also can pick up their free goodie bag at the check-in table as well. And all "yes" and "maybe" RSVPers who show up are entered to win the door prize for the day. Come have some fun!

Doyle Park Dog Park is behind (East) of the Doyle Park Rec Center on Regents Road. You can park in front (nearest Regents) and take a stroll all the way to the back of the park, past the baseball fields, or you can enter on Cargill Street, first park driveway after the apartments. Parking back here is limited tho.

The Fine Print - aka Park Rules: non-aggressive doggies only * no more than 3 dogs per human * no dogs under 12 weeks age * all dogs must be currently licensed and UTD on rabies vax, with current tags visible on collar * children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult * children must ask permission before approaching unknown dogs * large side for dogs 30# and over, smaller side for dogs under 30# * all dogs must stay on leash until in fenced area * pick-up baggies provided, please clean up after your dog * no dogs in heat, please

Talk about this Meetup

Unfortunately we will be at Dog Beach in Huntington tomorrow with OC group

Who attended?

  • 31 attendees
    •  Doyle Park is a very good place for our meetup. I like the fact that only dogs 30 lbs. and under are on the opposite side of the fenced area for larger dogs. It is always great to see the other rescue pups and their new parents and how happy they are together. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming. Cathy and Velvet
    •  This was our first Meetup - Max (brown and tan cocker) and Miriam - and it was agreat - wonderful seeing all these cockers, really nice people and dogs, contained space that was just the right size and a gorgeous day. Could not have been more fun, really look forward to attending again.
    •  Once again, another great meet up.
    •  Welcome to the newcomers and welcome back to some who haven't been in a while. We had 40 people and 40 cockers today. At our last SDSR adoption event, we had all buff color cockers. Not today, we had all colors; chocolate, black and tan, buff, black, parti, all ages and sizes. Sorry I forgot my camera. Thanks everyone for making it such a fun day. See you next time. Sue
    •  Sorry something came up and I was unable to attend the Meetup :-(
